What are the class days and times?
Classes are held Monday – Thursday, 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm and student clinic massage hours will take place on Saturdays from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
 
What are the age requirements and prerequisites?
Candidates must be 18+ years old and possess a high school transcript showing graduation or GED certificate. All applicants must have also received a professional massage.
 
What happens after Course Completion?
Upon completing the course and in order to obtain a state license, you must pass a national board exam distributed by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards known as the MBLEx. For more information visit their website at www.fsmtb.org . After passing the exam, the student can then receive their licensure from the State of Alabama and begin work.
 
Where can they work?
Licensed Therapists can work for themselves OR for many different clinics. Professional Massage Therapists are hired for a vast array of clinics depending on the area. Common employment for Professional Massage Therapists includes, but is not limited to: Spas, Wellness Centers, Massage Therapy Clinics, OBGYN/GYN Offices, Home Offices and much more. Neuromuscular Therapists are also hired for a vast array of clinic settings, these therapists are hired for their skill set, anatomical knowledge, and precise critical thinking. Employment includes but is not limited to Rehab Facilities, Chiropractic Offices, Neuromuscular Clinics, Massage Therapy Clinics, Orthopedic Centers, Home Offices, Sports Facilities and much more. What does the tuition cost?
The cost of the program is $7,700, which includes education tuition, textbooks, massage table, student liability insurance fee, oil holster, and face cradle covers. *All tuition must be paid in full prior to graduation.*
 
Are there additional expenses for each student?
Yes. Application Fee – $75 (non-refundable), Uniform – Purple scrubs (required for internship), Sheets – may use twin sheets or massage table sheets, Blanket – Washable white or cream-colored.
